The Story of RiverMist
RiverMist began with two people, two journeys, and a shared dream of creating something enduring.
Satish Krishnan, from a family deeply rooted in farming and land stewardship, spent over two decades working across the world with leading global technology companies. Srijith grew up amidst the coffee estates and mist-covered hills of Chikkamagaluru before spending 14 years in the corporate world.
In 2017, their paths came together over a shared vision to create a destination that celebrated the beauty, traditions and spirit of the Western Ghats.
After months of exploring the region, they discovered a secluded valley surrounded by forests, rivers and mountains. It felt like the place they had been searching for.
And so, RiverMist was born.
Today, RiverMist is an award winning boutique nature resort shaped by that original vision creating thoughtful experiences that invite guests to slow down, reconnect and embrace The Unplugged Life.
