Rani Jhari is a majestic place that almost all the travelers have ignored on their way to the Ballalarayana fort. It is not a long journey from Ballalarayana Durga to Rani Jhari. And some of them considered it just a viewpoint but nothing more. But Rani Jhari Chikmagalur is more than just a viewpoint.
Kodige Falls
Kodige Falls is a mesmerizing waterfall situated near Durgadahalli village in the Malenadu region of Karnataka. It is one of the stunning waterfalls in Karnataka, and among the most scenic places to visit near Chikmagalur.
Visitors need to walk about 10 minutes from the parking area. The trek path is an easily accessible place for kids and elders.

Annapoorneshwari Temple Horanadu
Annapoorneshwari, the goddess of Anna, meaning grain or food, is worshipped in temples at very few locations in India and hence becomes very important for believers. The Annapoorneshwari Temple was constructed by Agasthya Maharishi about 400 years ago and has been renovated quite a few times after that but the essence of the temple and it’s working can be seen even today.
Sri Sringeri Sharada Peetham
Sringeri Sharada Peetham was established by Sri Adi Shankaracharya. It is set against the backdrop of the beautiful Malnad hills, on the banks of the Tunga River. The Sringeri matha has a recorded history from the 8th century onwards. Sri Adi Shankara Bhagavatpada was referred to as Jagadguru or the teacher of the world. Sringeri Mutt is the first of the four Amnaya Peethams, which means the throne of the Vedas, established over twelve centuries ago in honor of the sacred traditions of Santana Dharma.
Shri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara Temple
One of South India’s most renowned religious landmarks with a history as old as 800 years. Manjunatheshwara, the chief deity of the spiritual abode, has taken the form of a shiva linga and made immaculate, the temple town of Dharmasthala since and forever. Lord Manjunatheshwara, is being worshipped in a very unusual yet exceptionally inordinate manner in Shree kshetra dharmasthala, as this Shaiva temple is beseeched by Vaishnava priests and administered by Jain descendants.
Kudremukha National Park
The park is home to a variety of birds such as the Malabar trogon, Malabar whistling thrush, and the imperial pigeon. At 1892 meters, Kuduremukh is the second highest peak in Karnataka (after Mullayyanagiri). Kuduremukh is declared one of 34 biological hotspots of the world because of its tropical biological richness.

Kyatanamakki is a fully off-road route 4×4 jeep plays around the hill base to top and offers a superb scenic beauty on top of the hill. One of the best places to watch the sunset. If you like off-road then it’s a paradise for you providing a super magnificent 360-degree view on reaching the hilltop.
Bandaje Falls
Ballalarayana Durga Fort and Bandaje Arbi is the trek known for its untouched beauty and paradisiacal landscapes and for sure, it’s calling you. Located in the Charmadi ghat section of the Western Ghats in the Belthangady taluk of Dakshina Kannada district, the trek has the most serene and pristine landmarks like Rani Jhari Falls, Ballarayanadurga Fort, and Bandaje Arbi.

Kurinjaala betta
The lush mountain is covered in dense rainforest, with strenuous hiking trails to its 1160m peak. Kurinjal peak is one of the popular hiking trails located in the Kudremukha National Park in Chikmagalur district, Karnataka. It’s a 40kms stretch of road with amazing views, roads are good for the first 25 km after that it’s broken with a lot of potholes, you get 1 hr to reach the other checkpoint. Early morning is a great time to visit. It’s a 7 km trek to the peak.
